Last week Dave Park and his wife Grace made a return visit to Northern Ireland. They were last there in 2009 to mark the launch of Freedom In Christ For Young People. Dave wrote FIC's original youth material with Neil Anderson and is a highly experienced trainer of youth leaders.
The "Freedom Foundation" gave the opportunity for 25 church and youth leaders to go much deeper with the principles of identity-based disciplship. Dave communicated the main themes of the Discipleship Course with great insight and much humour. There were also times for discussion and reflection, time to work through the Steps to Freedom in Christ in a secure environment and opportunitites to try out some of the activities within the FIC for Young People course for themselves.
Many of those attending the Foundation indicated that they were excited about getting back to their ministries with some new tools to help set captives free and make disciples! It was a very special 3 days together which we hope to be able to offer other leaders in the future.
Dave has also been spending time with a number of churches. The picture below is from a youth event at Newtownbreda Baptist Church.
