The Gutenberg generation is giving way to the Google generation. Not only do the Googlers, those in their 20s and 30s, process information in a totally different way but they are the most likely to be missing from our churches.
It’s not that the life-changing message of freedom that Jesus gave us is any less relevant to them. But they process information in a totally different way.
We want to put a key strategic discipleship resource – provisionally entitled “disciple.” – into the hands of church leaders around the world that will help them reach this generation with the message of freedom so that they go out there and make a real difference.
It will be punchy, concise, flexible and participative. And, of course, it will make full use of technology to engage its audience.
We’ve assembled a top team of app designers, video gurus and talented young writers. Our key partners are Youth For Christ who worked with us on the highly acclaimed FIC For Young People resource and have been researching how to reach this generation effectively.
We’re looking to launch in Easter 2016 but we need your help right now to help us get off the starting blocks. Excellent multi-media resources are expensive and in order to make the business case work for our publishers, we need to raise £30,000 to go towards high quality video and app production. Once we have that, the publishers will fund everything else.
The AMAZING NEWS is that one of our supporters has pledged to match every £1 we can raise by September 30 (up to half the total amount needed). What this means is that we only need to raise £15,000 – every £1 you give will in effect be doubled. And if you are a UK tax payer and we can claim Gift Aid on your donation, we’ll get £2.50 for every £1 you give! You can donate below.
