The day has finally arrived – we are ready to make disciple, a new, culturally contemporary resource for those in their 20s and 30s. Designed to complement the best-selling Freedom In Christ Discipleship Course, it will help the next generation get to grips with being a follower of Jesus, break free from what holds them back, and explore what it really means to be part of God’s story.
A huge amount of work, painstaking effort and an immense amount of tea has gone into getting us this far. And that’s not to mention the extraordinary generosity of hundreds of people who donated, without whom we would never have got out of the starting blocks.
Presented by our very own Jess Regnart, Rob Peabody from The Awaken Movement and David Edwards, Pastor at the New Testament Church of God in Crewe, disciple will be a 10-week multimedia course published by Monarch and available to churches and Christian groups from Easter 2016.
Rob, co-presenter of the new resource, is excited about it. He says “I am extremely honoured and excited to be a part of this much needed and timely resource. Disciple will equip and release the next generation as it points to the liberating truths found in a relationship with Jesus.”
But before we get there, we need to film it! We are delighted to be partnering with UCB for the filming which will take place at their studios in Stoke-On-Trent on December 8-9. Rumour has it there may even be a converted VW Coffee Camper serving lattes and macchiatos on set.
You can also catch up with Jess, Rob and David at the first ever live teaching event for disciple at St Paul’s Church in Salisbury, 6-7 November.
Places at both events are now available and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can you help spread the word to people in their 20s and 30s, and advertise the Live Teaching and Filming events wherever and whenever you can?
And please do pray for Jess as she continues to develop the different components of the course, for Rob and Dave as they prepare to present, and for Steve Goss, as he oversees the project.
